DIY melted crayon pumpkins

When I came across the idea of melting crayons on pumpkins, I immidiately knew I had to try it! It was so much fun! (I think melting crayons might be my new favorite activity…) It’s also so much easier and cleaner than carving pumpkins, although you don’t get the seeds this way which was kinda a bummer.

We used normal Crayola crayons and one of those extra long lighters that are normally used to light grills or bonfires. It was an unseasonably warm October afternoon so we tried working on our back deck but, unfortunately, the wind wasn’t cooperating. While we were seriously enjoying the warm, fresh air and pretty view, the wind had something else in mind so we had to move it inside to finish.
