rabbit, rabbit

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been saying “rabbit, rabbit” on the first day of each month when I wake – I learned it from my parents. But it wasn’t until this morning that I finally did a little Googling to find out exactly what it meant. Apparently, it’s based an old British superstition that claims saying it when you awake on the first day of the month, will bring you good luck for the rest of that month. Crazy and illogical? Yes. Will I continue doing it anyway? Totally. Not because I believe it will actually bring me any luck, but because it reminds me of my childhood and a connection with my family. A little silly, I know. But I like silly! :)
